Domestic Home Studies
General Information and Costs
International Family Services conducts home studies for domestic adoptions. We, however, do not work directly with birth mothers.
For families seeking to adopt a child born in Texas, the home study fee is $3500. This includes 5 post-placement monitoring reports, a court report, required training and counseling time, all notary services, and work with the agency which is working with the Texas birth mother. (The home study fee for a family working with non-Texas birth mothers is $4000.)
We are also able to conduct post-placement monitoring of adopting families who do not use IFS for the home study report on a per case basis.
