Administrative Assistant

Role & Responsibility:
I am that lady that I’m told non-profit organizations hope for in a volunteer. Yes, technically I am a volunteer but am so committed to the mission of IFS that I insist on establishing regular hours so the wonderful team I work with in the Friendswood, Texas office knows when I can be depended on. I was given the title Administrative Assistant, not that I needed the title, but it’s nice. I do everything from answering phones to general office work to dossier records management where I get to draw on my 20+ years as a Justice of the Peace Judge’s court coordinator.

Family:
Glen and I married in 1990 and I have two children Shauywn and Karli (adopted from China).

Part of the IFS Team Since: 2008

Little Known Facts About Me:
We adopted Karli from China through IFS in 1996. Our China trip was such a wonderful adventure and we loved the country and the experience. It was amazing to go back to China in 2007, this time with Karli to see the beautiful country that is part of her heritage. We loved everyone at IFS while we were going through our adoption, so once I retired I decided that I wanted to be a part of this IFS family and see more families made. Family is important, and I love spending time with all my family and friends. These days my “hobby” is traveling back and forth to Texas A&M to see our sweet daughter who is a freshman there in the Corps of Cadets. Yes, my gorgeous China-born daughter is an Aggie Texan.
