Carol Mardock

Founder and Executive Director

Role & Responsibility: I absolutely love helping match children in need of parents and that is what I get to do day in and day out. I am IFS’s Executive Director and am responsible for most of the administrative duties working hand in hand with Managing Director Richard Price. Additionally, direct our exciting and growing Domestic Adoption Program. I’m entrepreneurial at heart and I love creating within this wonderful world of adoption. I also have multiple teaching credentials and taught for many years in special education. I have found this to be very helpful in my work in adoptions.

Family: I am married to Bob since 1974 and I am mom to 10 children ranging in age from 16 to 39. Four I gave birth to and six we adopted. I learned that it’s a lot easier to get out of bed in the morning the day after an adoption than it is to get out of bed the day after giving birth. We also have 14 grand children – and counting.

Part of the IFS Team Since: 1991

Little Known Fact About Me: When I was a little girl I used to dream of building an orphanage and helping orphan children. Through our work at IFS I have seen my dreams come true and have had the opportunity of managing the funding of 3 orphanage building projects, countless other special projects and have helped thousands of families and children find each other. I still get to live out my childhood dreams.
